RFID-tags

RFID, what is it and how does it work?

-RFID is an abbreviation of Radio-frequency identification, which enables data to be read from the RFID chip.
-RFID is an identification chip for lifting aids, lifting devices and fall protection devices.
-RFID chips are small in size, thanks to which they can be installed in almost all products and also in textiles.

Why should you install an RFID chip in products?

With the help of RFID, the product’s detailed information can be read quickly and reliably. The chip can store, for example, the annual identification tags of lifting aids, periodic inspection information, operating instructions and location.
The chip can be read with a smartphone or scanner.

It is also possible to install a chip in existing products. In new products, the chip is already installed during the manufacturing phase, but chips are available for different purposes and with different types of attachment options.
A lifting aid without a nameplate must not be used, the small chip remains in place and thus the product’s information remains stored even if the nameplate comes off the product for some reason. Thanks to the chip, all the information on the product can still be read and a new type plate can be installed according to this information and the product is usable again.
